Statement of Faith
1) Sanctification Day By Day (SDBD) has a biblical world view and that the Bible is our only source of authority. No person or organization is above the Bible.
2 Timothy16-17
All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God’s way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do.
2) This ministry believes in the Holy Trinity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
3) This ministry believes that there is only one mediator between man and God and that person is Jesus. That the only way to get to heaven and have a relationship with God is through the Son, Jesus Christ.
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is only on God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and people. He is the man Christ Jesus.
4) SDBD believes that salvation is a free gift from God through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It cannot be earned.
Ephesians 2:8-9
God saved you by his special favour when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
5) SDBD believes that sanctification is an ongoing process that allows us to become more Christ like and therefore have God’s will fulfilled in our lives.
Galatians 5:24-25
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. If we are living now by the Holy Spirit, let us follow the Holy Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.
6) SDBD believes that water baptism (not as a baby) is crucial in growing in Christian maturity and becoming an overcomer in this world.
Colossians 2:11-13
When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. It was a spiritual procedure – the cutting away of your sinful nature. For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to a new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ. He forgave all our sins.
Acts 22:15-16
For you are to be his witness, telling everyone what you have seen and heard. What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord.’
7) SDBD stands on Jesus’ words…in John 14 verse 15 and 23 Jesus says if you love me obey my commandments and do what I say.
James 1:22
And remember, it is a message to obey, not just to listen to. If you don’t obey, you are only fooling yourself.
8) SDBD stands on the great commission found In Matthew 28: 19-20 and in Mark 16:15-18 that states we are to:
- make disciples
- baptize
- teach the new disciples to obey the commands Jesus has given us aka discipleship
- cast out demons
- lay hands on the sick and heal them
Hebrews 13:8 states that
Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Which means that His word is the same yesterday, today and forever. Praise God!! Because the truth is…
John 14: 12-14
The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name and I will do it because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father.
What did Jesus do?
- made disciples
- cast out demons
- healed the sick
- raised the dead
9) SDBD adheres to Biblical doctrine that states women are not to teach men or take their authority but are allowed to teach other women and children. That being said this ministry is for women only.
1 Timothy 2:12
I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. For God made Adam first, and afterward He made Eve.
10) This ministry is not to take the place of belonging to a Church family. I do believe that God is calling His people out of spiritually dead churches, however; if that’s the case for you then you need to find a new Church or a home Church to belong to. For the gifts of the Holy Spirit to manifest you must have fellowship with the Body of Christ. God gives all believers spiritual gifts. They are for the strengthening of the Body of Christ (aka the Church) to defeat satan and show Jesus to unbelievers. We were never meant to do this on our own!
1 Corinthians 12: 7
A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a means of helping the entire church.
Mission Statement
The mission of Sanctification Day By Day and the Y.E.S community is to support and help women in their spiritual growth with Jesus Christ. To help sanctify and mature so that we, in faith, stand on God’s promises and beat back the enemy that would destroy us and our families.
