Who doesn’t like the kangaroo? And how wonderfully designed they are!
When a baby kangaroo is born it’s no longer than a bean, it’s blind, deaf, hairless and looks a little like a worm.
When it emerges from the birth canal the baby automatically knows it needs to hold on tightly to the mother’s fur and start crawling over a sizable distance to get to the mother’s pouch.
Once it makes it to the pouch the baby automatically knows its got to fasten onto a nipple which after having done so the nipple automatically enlarges locking the baby on to it. What’s crazy is that during this time the mother usually doesn’t even know the baby’s been born and so the baby gets no help at all!
The kangaroo also makes 2 kinds of milk simultaneously for 2 different kinds of nutritional needs. One kind is for the newborn and the second is for an older kangaroo outside of the pouch.
What’s even more amazing is the fact that the nipple for the infant will automatically produce a different kind of milk than the one the older ones drinks no matter which nipple it drinks from!
Question: how could this very complex process ever evolve? If the kangaroo has been programmed with this very unique birthing and rearing process doesn’t that mean an intelligent designed had to program them?
And that’s your fun and interesting fact for this week! 😊
