Colossians 2:10
You are complete through your union with Christ. He is the Lord over every ruler and authority in the universe.
Last week you spent time contemplating where you derive your self-identity so this week, I want you to spend time understanding why your identity in Jesus Christ is so transformational.
When you know and understand your identity through Jesus Christ:
1)you are freed from this world and the chaos of chasing what this world deems as desirable and needed. Your real life is revealed. (Colossians 3:1-4)
2)you stop looking for approval from other people and you stop comparing yourself to others. (Galatians 1:10)
3)you are freed from fear (2 Timothy 1:7)
4)you have expectant joy and peace even during rough times (Philippians 4:7)
5)you have a Holy Spirit led life that builds a faith that moves mountains (Mark 11:22-25)
6)you have a confidence that no one can take away from you (Jeremiah 17:7)
7)you have a strength that cannot be broken (Philippians 4:13)
8)you expose Satan and defeat him in your life (James 4:7)
9)you have a passion and purpose that lights you up and drives you on every single day! (Jeremiah 29:11)
These are powerful statements! God created us to be overcomers through Jesus Christ and it’s time we claim that truth!
Action Plan: These are not statements to make you feel good – these are powerful life-changing truths if you believe and put your faith in them. This week meditate on each of the 9 statements. Read and memorize the corresponding Scripture that goes with each.
Mediate on this week’s Scripture and let it sink deep into your soul that you are complete in Jesus Christ. You are not weak. You are not a failure. Jesus Christ is the world’s ruler and authority and he says you are loved. You are special. You are an overcomer!!
Your Sister in Christ,
Angela
