If you go into a Church nursery/small kid area or pick up a book about Noah’s ark; 9 out of 10 times what are you going to find?

You’re going to see a cute looking boat and adult animals going towards the boat.

I feel that these unrealistic images actually hinder our children and from a very small age.  I mean if our churches and Christian books aren’t accurately portraying what took place then who is?

With these images we are unknowingly teaching our children at a very young age that the story of Noah’s ark isn’t real but a myth. 

So as parent’s it’s vitally important that we inform our kids, starting at birth, the truth so when they get older and start getting peer pressure and persecution they stay strong in their faith and not leave it.

Remember that Noah, his family, and the animals were on the ark for over a year (Genesis 8:13-14).

So here are 5 reasons why Noah DID NOT take adult animals on the ark:

1) Babies are smaller, therefore, take up less space
2) Babies sleep more
3) Babies eat less
4) Babies urinate and defecate in smaller amounts
5) Babies would have a better chance of living longer than taking on older animals. For instance, rats only live for ~3 years. By the time they got off the ark most would be sexually mature therefore they would have a longer reproductive time to have more babies.

These are easy and logical answers we can give our kids and others that are struggling with doubt.  We need to be prepared to give these types of answers.
